I loved this movie and have already watched it three times..always recommending it to others. It takes you on a whole gammet of emotions. I had never heard of any of the actors before except for Robin Williams, but the three main actors where great! They totally draw you into their lives. This is a very captivating and inspirational movie!

My kids enjoy listening and dancing to the music, and I don't mind listening to it in the car either! Beats Dora, or a lot of other "kid" music.

Loved the movie but disappointed over cd not having Gerry's songs!!! Would not have bought it, should have read more reviews.

I've posted comments elsewhere on this series of reviews. It seems the defenders of Ms. King's cd are a little defensive, as are the ones who didn't care for her music. I have to admit, I was excited by the idea that a new acoustic monster had put a cd out. I listened to the samples in the store, and was "wow'ed" by her varied and aggressive style of guitar playing. The employee had pointed her cd out to me, and he too, made reference to M. Hedges guitar style. Like a herd of lemmings, I walked out of the store with the cd in hand, looking forward to listening through it.
I got home and (I have to say) tried to listen straight through, but was put off by the lack of a feeling that K. King's music was thought through--even as I made ... Read More:

Well, its not nearly as good as Until We Felt Red, and there are some really weak tracks like Pull Me Out Alive, which is really dumbed down and has a very simple structure, almost sounds like Tegan and Sarah or something. The music seems to lack the creativity of her previous efforts, and many of the instrumental songs sound underdeveloped, as in they come off as sections of a larger work that doesn't quite complete. The guitar work isn't nearly as interesting as her other records, with the exception of Air and Kilometers.
But that being said, its still not a horrible album, and it does grow on you a bit, so its worth a download. The best tracks are, Saving Days in a Frozen Head, and Air and Kilometers.

This deluxe edition is not the original movie soundtrack, but "Music from the Original Motion Picture" and missing a few songs to boot. The original songs are so much full of passion as they were recorded during the acting. I was very disappointed in this CD.
Release Date August 08, 2006
Actually, I'm fairly certain there are other great guitar players out there; they just don't have record deals yet. With that said, Kaki is making the music I've waited a long time to hear. Will Ackerman was my first exposure to instrumental guitar. Then Hedges, who was amazing. But Kaki is special, in my opinion. With diversity and maturity in her songwriting, Kaki is easily making the music I've waited so long to hear. I can't play it, but I knew it was out there... somewhere.

I was a great fan of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe score, so was very much looking forward to this release. Unfortunately, i'm pretty disappointed.
One of the reasons I enjoyed the original score so much was for it's calm, celtic-like melodies in the first half or so of the score. This score has a similar layout, but it focuses a lot more on the battle/action tracks, which i'm not particularly fond of.
I can completely understand why this is the case, as the film is a lot darker than the first and i've heard it contains a lot more action. This would be great if these tracks weren't so repetitive, sounding like the typical Media Ventures action cues we've heard so many times before. And even by the half way point these tracks start to drag, ... Read More:
