it was a video for Doctor Who that put me in touch with Muse. I fell in love with Map Of The Problematic and immediately bought the CD. The CD knocked my socks off and I became an instant fan. It is easy to hear why this band has so influenced Stephenie Meyer's Twilight book series. Thanks to my love of all things Doctor Who (and David Tennant) for exposing me to this great Brit band. Check it out!

It's quite disappointing to see some people dismissing this as another live album/DVD not deserving of attention.

This is a true reflection of the energy, dynamism, creativity and imaginsation of MUSE. I'm old enough to remember "Live & Dangerous" being considered one of the best live albums, but listening to it now it sounds bland compared to MUSE at Wembley.

The camera work and editing is terrific and completely reflects the atmosphere and energy in the band and the crowd. The frantic cutting in Stockholm Syndrome reminds me of the mosh pit.

I suspect those not impressed have never seen them live. Go see them then revisit the DVD. If it doesn't light up your eyes then you have no soul.

I just bought this reissues LP this weekend! and having seen only one review of the vinyl reprint i thought i would add my 2 cents. 1st the packaging is great these LP make CDs look boring, nice gate fold and you can see all the art work that is so small it the cd booklet and now it is huge and awesome. 2ed the sound That is my we are buying all this s@#t again right! Sounds great the highs are higher and the lowers are lower just like my life j/k! 3ed it is just a cool thing the have and revisit. I think the whole ritual of putting the record on sitting down and listening to the recording instead of driving or washing dishes or working out or what ever. So in summation i would give the music 5 stars the vinyl 4 stars so there you have it!

The Bends

Nobody really actually enjoys listening to Radiohead. They just pretend to so that they appear to be hip or intelligent. I guess if a bunch of random noise put together to appear "deep" is your thing you should buy this album. If you have any taste stay far away. Thom Yorke is also the AntiChrist.

This is the best album cover ever in rock and roll history as far as I'm concerned, the music inside is just gravy. Nothing could top OK Computer, so Radiohead didn't even try - they very wisely went in a completely different direction into almost another genre altogether. OK Computer is basically a straight up rock record but Kid A is pretty much electronic music. The first song, "Everything in it's Right Place" is one of the best in Radiohead's live set - it sounds much better live is what I'm trying to say - but the studio version is still very captivating, especially with good speakers. "How To Disappear Completely" almost matches the intensity of "Exit Music" from the previous record. I think the peak of the record is "In Limbo", maybe the scariest song I've ever heard from ... First, let me be upfront, I am not the best music critic to evaluate the Killers for generational reasons but I am going to offer you, nevertheless
a bona fide and credible reason for purchasing their music. Although I go back to the days of listening to Bob Dylan covered by Leon Russell singing She Belongs To Me on vinyl, as a music critic I can recognize unusual talent and vocal and performance superiority when I see it no matter what genre or generation we are talking about. I saw Brandon Flowers on SNL tonight and I honestly enjoyed it immensely. He had the presence and the confidence that we held so dear in the front men of some pretty over the top classic bands.
