I bought this on a whim because I like vocal music and the cover looked cool. It's not what you think. This guy has a good voice and the music selection is great. He sings everything. I can't really label the type of music...it's all over the place but I liked the Tom Waits song. Really..this was a good buy. It listens well.

David Hobson is truly a tenor in a class by himself. His beautiful expression in the songs he interprets is like no one else.......PRESENTING DAVID HOBSON is a great cross section of some of the Australian tenor's favorite songs from films and opera. They include the beautiful "Nella Fantasia" from THE MISSION (composed by Ennio Morricone), "Ombra Mai Fu" from the opera XERXES (composed by George Fridric Handel) and "Calling You" from BAGDAD CAFE (composed by Bob Telson). I can't think of words that can begin to describe his beautiful voice. All I know is that whenever I hear David Hobson sing, I feel like my heart comes to life and his music penetrates my soul. You have got to get this. Hobson's albums are hard to come by in the United ... Read More:

I like almost all of the John Tesh orchestrations. His compositions are so delightful to listen to and very easy to enjoy as either background music or thoughtful listening.

There are two things to point out first about this CD. First it is an IMPORT . This means it came from outside the US. Second, the first Harry Potter book's original British title was "Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone" (as was the Internation English movie title). The title was changed when J.K. Rowling sold the rights to Scolastic for US release. The next important thing to note, the songs that are included. If you search the web, you will find that most of the movies listed were released the same year (the rest seem to be 2000). This is the connection. I find this to be an interesting way to package some good music from multiple venues in one place. However, I definately see where it would be confusing for someone ... Read More:

As an import, this cd took a while to actually be delivered but it was well worth it! The disks are magical. A fabulous blend of original classic Disney favorites and modern remakes. After every track I keep saying "Wow!" I just gets better and better. I have always loved "When You Wish Upon a Star" and the Louis Armstrong version is my favorite version to date! If you are a Disney fan, you must have this cd! Why England is blessed with this cd while the United States is not is beyond me!

During my 9th pregnancy I would have this playing in the car while driving my 4 yr old Woody and 2 yr old Buzz around on errands. After Abby was born I would have to bring her along with us, and the first time she became fussy in the car I started the cassette. As soon as the first note of the first song played, Abby stopped crying. When she was 3 months old we had to drive from VA to New Orleans, and everytime Abby got upset, we had to play it. (ALOT! Through several states and back!) But it calmed her EVERY TIME! Now she is 14 months old, and it still soothes her, especially "When She Loved Me." Thanks to all creative forces behind the Toy Story movies!
