Miss Spectacular: The Concept AlbumSearch: Vegas by: Jerry Herman, Michael Feinstein, Faith Prince, Christine Baranski, Davis Gaines, Debbie Gravitte, Steve Lawrence Release Date June 11, 2002 After hearing two songs from MISS SPECTACULAR at a Jerry Herman benefit, I ran out to buy this album and was thrilled with its contents. Although MISS SPECTACULAR may not be Herman's most famous work, it has all of the trademarks of an energizing musical with wonderful melodies and top notch performers. Debbie Gravitte leads this concept recording with two of Sarah Jane's (our leading lady) songs: "Miss What's Her Name" and "Miss Spectacular". Gravitte is in top vocal form and never disappoints. Steve Lawrence and Michael Feinstein give great renditions of their numbers, while Karen Morrow guides us through the beautiful ballad, "No Other Music".
