Renaissance, Vol. 2Search: Underground by: Various Artists Release Date June 30, 1998 John Digweed leaves off were Renaissance 1 ended. This collection, though long out of print really exemplifies why I got into this music in the first place. The mixing is spectacular and here in 2003 some of the songs sound outdated. However, this compilation accurately captures a moment in time in dance music history and shows you a little of what things were like in 1995. This is truly uplifting progressive house. I own all the early renaissance mixes and this one still touches me in that special way and just gets me up wanting to dance. If you can, pick this one up, you won't be disappointed. This one includes all the classics with sexy vocals. Its very contemporary still. Cheers!! rock the vote:) |

Love ItSearch: Underground Release Date June 01, 1999 I first discovered Euclid Drive my freshman year of college, working as a radio DJ. I slipped "Love It" on air, and took a look at the back cover. If Uncle Jesse from Full House gained 40 pounds and became a purple vampire, he would make a good double for the one band member. And, judging from their pictures, neither man should be singing about making love, unless they mean to each other. The music is so bad it's funny. I played that CD every week during my radio show until another DJ stole it to prevent me from playing it. It is laughably horrible. If you love bad music as much as I do, well, it might not be worth it then, either. I would not pay for this. |
