I am very interested in Italian music, and sometimes get tired of the old favorites, but this is a great mix of everything and I loved the fantasia of D'anzi and Canfora they are fabulous when done by Iva. I am now looking for more albums by Iva..she has become one of my favorite female Italian singers..I am happy I ordered this album it is great..5 stars for IVA from me.

I was hooked on the genre by "East Village Opera Company", and this group has some similarities, but they're closer to traditional opera by vocal production style, so I didn't appreciate them quite as much. As with most opera singers, their technique is admirable, and it's the sort of thing you'd like, if you liked that sort of thing.

I was hooked on the genre by "East Village Opera Company", and this group has some similarities, but they're closer to traditional opera by vocal production style, so I didn't appreciate them quite as much. As with most opera singers, their technique is admirable, and it's the sort of thing you'd like, if you liked that sort of thing.

I am not a huge fan of opera music. Most of it gets on my nerves but I do like it when opera music is mixed in with a smidgeon of pop music. Amici Forever may not create opera music that is pure but their music is nice to listen to when I just want to unwind after a long day at the office. THE OPERA BAND is the group's first album. I heard about it through a television commercial a few years ago and bought a copy. I like the combination of male and female singers. While the song selection is rather predictable (because they have been covered by other artists in the classical/crossover genre), I thought the group did a good job. I thought this CD was going to feature Don singing with these fellas. There was no singing at all. Just instrumental. On some of the songs you can't even tell Don is in there anywhere. The instrumentals I guess are ok, but I'd like to have heard more of Don. As a matter of fact, when I first got it, I didn't think he was even involved. That is until today when I got my boxed set - 1960-1966, when I saw that Los Indios Tabajaras is actually on these CDs. Maybe I'll listen to it again and do a new review. Until then, I don't like it.
