It's a shame that Amazon won't let you play samples of the songs, they're wonderful. I picked this CD up from a local bookstore last year and quickly fell in love with it. My favorite songs are probably A Promise Unbroken, Indigo Night, Caide Sin Don Te Sin, and Buain a Rainich. Priestess and Warrior also really stands out for its bardic roots. There isn't a single song on here that's bad. This CD has been in my player for so long that I don't even remember where the case is.

Many of the songs have English lyrics intermixed with traditional languages. Even as they switch back and forth the meaning is conveyed perfectly.

Wonderful to hear the great Dame in Operetta. Her voice is very expressive and beautiful in this recording, her diction, surprisingly good. I find myself listening to this cd everytime I need a "lift". It never fails to make me smile. And the music is glorious. Too bad Sutherland didn't record the Operetta in it's entirety. So we would have to purchased Dame Joan's VHS of "The Merry Widow", in which we would have to suffer with a sixty year old Sutherland's wide vibrato. But she is magnificent here!!!

My older sister got this CD for my daughter when she was about 1 or 1 1/2 years old. My daughter is now almost 3 and still absolutely LOVES Linda Arnold. On top of having a wonderful gift for writing funny, catchy children's tunes, her voice is lovely as well. This CD is far and above her best album. My daughter knows almost every song by heart and insists on singing along. "Barnyard Talk" is her favorite song.

If you have children that are approaching toddler age, BUY THIS CD! KEEP IT IN THE CAR FOR LONG CAR RIDES. THEY WILL LOVE IT!!
