Synthpop for a Darkened Room 3Search: Ultraviolet by: Various Artists Release Date February 14, 2005 When I think of synth-pop, the first thing that pops into my head is '80s pop bands Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, and Erasure. I think of high energy, catchy pop songs that makes me want to dance, that or make me want to break out in old '80s fashion like the torn sweatshirt ala Jennifer Beals in "Flashdance" and leg warmers (or maybe not). I always imagined synth-pop songs being these fun, dance songs. I was wrong. That has all changed. I recently had access to "Synthpop For a Darkened Room vol.3" and had to listen to it because I love synth-pop music so much.
