Brunswick Records out of Chicago is an American treasure chest of lost and found jewels. Just imagine! Jackie Wilson Barbara Acklin Young-Holt Artistics Tyrone Davis and the sublime Chi-Lites all on the same label.
This 2 CD set is bereft of any history of the label or the great groups and singers that recorded during the late 50's to the early 70's. Sad, like the great top 5 song by blind singer Tyrone Davis sung, " I Wish I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time".
Neverless, this 2 CD set has bunches of hits, most hard to find. It has the operatic voice of Jackie Wilson with "Lonely Teardrops" and his yelp, "Doggin' Around" (a hit for Klique in 1983!), it has the early '60's jazz funk of Young Holt Unlimited's "Wack ... Read More:
