Kikoski sparkles with brillance and a fiery energy that unearths some heavenly sounds. It is modern combo jazz at its best, but it is also one step beyond the pioneers such as McCoy Tyner. They helped create the genre, but Kikoski aspires to take it to a new level, and in doing so, he proves that modern jazz can evolve into something extraordinary. Tain Watts plays with powerful grace that both "drives" this album and also anchors it. He is the perfect choice because he is so fresh and he also aspires to propel modern jazz to a new evolutionary stage. Patitucci is solid and tasteful as ever. This is the freshest modern jazz album I've heard in a long time.

This album is GREAT....love Skin to Skin...second song... it's all great get up and move song...good vocals and great rhythm...a little of jazz, motown, rock and roll and today's music. The best of the best. Enjoy!!
