This is an amazing cd and I'm very surprised I've never heard of this composer before. The melodies are so evocative and heartwrenching, somewhat abstract, but always tonal. It speaks to my soul. There are some really nice faster, complex pieces to keep things interesting, but overall, this is music for contemplation. My only reservation is there is a harmonica featured on 3 or so tracks which is distracting. It takes some getting used to and reminds one of an Italian bandoneon player serenading someone on one of the canals, or perhaps Piazolla, though not so rhythmic and "tango-ish". The tracks with it aren't bad, but it plays the melody line and kind of changes the focus from the guitar. Overall though, it shouldn't discourage anyone from ... Read More:

I bought this in 94 and I still play it to this day! The Last three tracks are worth it by itself. Most important is the Last Human from Tylervision (aka Mike Kandel -Tranquility Bass). This is one of my TOP Ambient Picks of all time. Imagine the Ghost Ball Room in the Overlook Hotel of the Shining. An almost perfect match, haunting yet beautiful. I don't know where else to get this track either. My friend did an excellent track on here, Lotus, "Another Spring's Blue Twilight". Also check out the Single Cell track, hi props to Miguel.

This title represents my first disagreement with Jerry Kranitz of Aural Innovations - he's usually right on the money, but not here.
It is said that this album "flows seamlessly from one track to the next with a psychedelic feast for the ears..." - and this is mostly to my liking. I expect to hear an ebb and flow of highs and lows with unpredicatble changes of direction that keep my interest peaked...instead, what I got was an eighty minute dirge of sound that never varied AT ALL in pitch, tone, tempo, instrumentation or theme.
I'll break it down this way: The first eight minutes were almost interesting, but by six minutes, I'm wonder where the "shift" will come in since this is strictly incoherent rambling with no structure nor melody. ... Read More:
