This is one of my all-time favorite albums. I love listening to every song. I suppose to the well-trained ear there are flaws in the cd, but to my normal Christmas-music-enjoying ears, it sounds transcendentally good. As another reviewer says of the final track: "It is a playful piece that was an audience pleaser in concert . . . It's not especially satisfying as piece of music, though." There's the difference between a music critic, and one of the audience. Call me a philistine, but I think this is the best track on the cd. And the whole cd is an audience pleaser.

Just hearing Andy Willimas sing"Happy Holiday,The holidaySeason"brings back such great times.I think of my Grandparents, decorating there CHRISTmas tree, and looking forward for Andy's yearly CHRISTmas show.
My favorite track is "O Holy Night." There's not to many singers that can top Andys version.
You are going to love the CD .

I first heard- and became a perpetual fan of- "The Andy Williams Christmas Album" (or "Red Andy" as some people put it) when my mother bought a copy of the record album at a Rink's department store back in 1973 (I wasn't aware until recently that it was released in 1963; I always thought it came out in '68). In fact I still have that very same copy in my library, but I bought another less worn-out copy so I could transfer the tracks to CD.
For my money, it's no contest whatsoever; Andy Williams far and away has the most definitive Christmas album of any vocalist I know of (though I have to admit I'm still a big fan of the '76 Osmond Christmas album), and the lush arrangements don't hurt this album in the slightest. Every song is easily recognizable ... Read More:

I am a huge fan of Andy Williams and was so pleased to find this CD! It has songs which I have loved to hear Andy sing over the years. I love every one of them on this CD. The sound quality is excellent in my opinion.
I ordered this from Overstock through Amazon. It arrived in a reasonable time via the postal service. It had the cracked case which was specified by Overstock. It appeared to be in its original wrapping. When I opened it, there were several scratches on the disc. Happily, when I played it on my computer, the songs were clear and scratch-free. I am very happy with this CD and plan to enjoy many hours listening to Andy's wonderful voice!

I'm a sucker for the "old-fashioned" Christmas music.....the songs and artists I remember hearing when I was a kid, when they played Christmas music the whole week after Christmas, instead of stopping at the stroke of midnight on Christmas Day! How wonderful to hear Perry Como, Gene Autrey, Lena Horne, Rosemary Clooney, Dean Martin, and Andy Williams sing some of my Christmas favorites. This collection is great!

It's hard to believe that this musical belongs to the same creators of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Whereas in FIDDLER there is not even one bad song, this one's got them all. The singing is very good but the songs are quite unappealing and almost impossible to follow since melody is scarce and hard to catch.

SHE LOVES ME is one of the most delightful musicals ever written. This cast album is from the acclaimed 1994 West End revival which starred the delightful Ruthie Henshall.
The beloved Jerry Bock-Sheldon Harnick score is perfectly performed. The strong cast includes John Gordon Sinclair as Georg Nowack, Tracie Bennett as Ilona Ritter, Barry James as Ladislav Sipos and Gerard Casey as Steven Kodaly.
Ruthie Henshall takes on the dream-role of Amalia Balash. Though the role is still virtually defined and owned by Barbara Cook, Henshall brings a lovely sweetness and weight to the character. She also reveals her rarely-utilised lyric soprano voice, which is breathtaking in show pieces like "Vanilla Ice Cream", "Will He Like Me?", "No More Candy" ... Read More:
