For what it tries to be, this collection fails. It is not a mix of late-into-the-night-through-the-sunrise trance that flows like Oakenfold in his "Another World" days.

These 2 discs are a blend of world music-inspired chill out tunes. With the exception of the British pop influx (Coldplay's "Trouble" and Radiohead's "Street Spirit", for those who don't get enough on airplay - these are good songs in their own right but don't belong in this sort of chill zone). Call it lounge music with an occasional twist.

No one track stands out as a 'buy this album' - but it foments a mood of conversation over port and mead, with figs and organic truffles. Maybe a cool breeze smelling of the Mediterranean would help. Still, not ... Read More:

When I think of Trip Hop I think Morcheeba, Massive Attack, Portishead, Lamb, Laikay, Mono, The Starseeds, Crustation, Frou Frou and many many more. If Wagram music wanted to release a Trip Hop Anthology they would have included these artists and everyone on "She - A Female Trip Hop experience" which is an excellent example or representation of the bpm, tone and overall mood that dictates a track as Trip Hop.

This feels all over the place but sticks within the "lighter" electronic genres as defined under "downtempo" such as Acid Jazz, Ambient, Illbient and Chillout and yes there are some scarce hints of Trip Hop in here but not nearly enough to be called a "Trip Hop" Anthology. Ministry of Sound does yet another chillout album of downtempo grooves, but this time the theme is Ibiza, the international version of Daytona Beach for clubbers. On this double CD, MoS gives us a disc of soothing tracks, coupled with a second disc of dance numbers that are uplifting but not too extreme. After all, it's Sunday morning after a hard night of clubbing, and the last thing you need is music that will bring back the hangover you tried so hard to get rid of. Disc One has the usual cast of chillout characters: Groove Armada, Zero 7, and Basement Jaxx. First off let me start by saying, this CD is unquestionably one of the best mixes in the Supperclub lineup. From beginning to end this cd is full of Uptempo vocally refined incredible beats. If your into loungy/upbeat styleish houseish and even jazzy at times genre of music, your collection is worthless without this cd. Well not really worthless, but this CD is a near flawless gem. With the exception of maybe 2 tracks this entire compilation is pure adamentium. From beginning to end, even 3 years old now it still sounds amazing. Supperclub has been known for good mixes, and this definately soars above the rest. And it would also be in your best interest to get La Salle Neige (Supperclub V3 I believe) As it is equally mind shattering.
