Granted, 80's Metal may be a slightly misleading title, but this album does offer up a nice helping of hair metal and hard rock tunes. It features great songs like "Cum On Feel The Noize" and "Rock Me," but it also has some lesser known tunes from bands that didn't get the airplay that bands like Poison and the Scorpions (who's "Talk Dirty To Me" and "Blackout" are on this album, respectively). Bands like Rainbow, Accept, and Y&T, didn't make it into the radio rotation as much as Slaughter and White Lion, but they all put out some excellent songs. Other bands featured include Tora Tora, Winger, White Lion, Enuff Z'Nuff, L.A. Guns, Extreme, Mr. Big and Britney Fox.
Standout tunes include Lita Ford's "Kiss Me Deadly," Queensryche's ... Read More:

For the songs we all know and love, it's a very complete collection. There's a ton of power ballad collections that include most of these songs, but always seem to miss a few! I am glad to see they included Lita Ford, and Great White too. Some of the tracks are not the best produced versions, so sample before you buy. But,it's a good compilation.

As others have noted, the exclusion of Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight" is ridiculous; It's not a 'Best Of' if one of the most iconic songs ever used in the show isn't included! There's plenty of other odd exclusions, too: Russ Ballard's "Voices", Honeymoon Suite's "Bad Attitude", Dire Straits' "Brothers in Arms", and Terry Kath's "Tell Me" are the most notable songs absent from this release, and I would have gladly subbed any of them for Pat Benatar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", The Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited", George Thorogood's "Bad To The Bone", Autograph's "Turn Up The Radio" or Sheila E.'s "Glamourous Life". Are those good songs? Sure. But, they don't really come to mind when I think of Miami Vice, not to mention they're all over other ... Read More:
