The second album from Mark Weigle found his exploration of gay musicality expanding from his debut. But if you notice the way the two titles string together ("The Truth Is...All That Matters"), it is also easy to capture the essence that his first two discs are very much of a pair.

As a big fan of Mark Weigle's music and having recently been bowled over by the movie "Brokeback Mountain," as the movie played out before me I was frequently struck to what an opportunity was missed by the producer's not utilizing the music from Mark Weigle's CD's in the film. This versatile band really rocks. The original songs are all
very uplifting, and the one cover - Lennon's "Imagine" is awesome. The vocals are weak in some places, stronger in others, but the band has an intriguing VOICE. I particularly like "If the Moon Could Sing", and "When the Dust Settles".

Jon Brion really captured the whole feeling of the movie and the subject matter with the songs and compositions he wrote. The music pairs perfectly with the movie because the melodies aren't upbeat but they aren't dark - like the movie witch goes through bad and good emotions. The soundtrack is mainly compositions and not songs with lyrics and it is entirely written by Jon Brion.
