Genesis fans might roll their eyes at the idea of an orchestra playing music of the band. Phrases like "Musak crap" might even come to mind! However, this recording is not completely done in by the hallmarks of easy listening recordings. Some interpretations here do turn out to be quite pleasant reworkings of Genesis music.

However, when this record does not work...it REALLY doesn't work! The renditions of "Follow You Follow Me" and "I Know What I Like" in particular are downright awful. In fact, they are so bad, they simply must be heard by other Genesis fans to fully appreciate their sheer awfulness!

To many people, Lynn remains a one hit wonder, but while Rose garden was her only major pop hit in America, and her only hit of any kind in Britain. Lynn was a major country singer in the early to mid seventies, having many hits on the American country charts, including several number ones.

There were too many country hits to include them all here (and that's not counting the sixties hits that can be found on the companion volume Anthology Chart years) but all the big ones are here.

I really enjoyed this cd but miss the songs that they left out which is on Anthology which is out of print.This is an excellent cd for the causal fan or fan of Lynn.5STARS!I guess we just have to be happy with this new selection. I wish they would release all of her recordings on cd's.

It's Genesis so the music is already good and the 5.1 surround on these albums is excellent.

The cost for the SACD version is rather high, shop around. The price will eventually fall. I have the first and second sets of these and the 3rd just came out (priced a little more reasonably for SACD version).

The Genesis album has been one of my favorites for a long time, but I only own it on vinyl. So glad I waited, nice to hear Home by the Sea in surround.

Really can't go wrong with these if you a Genesis fan. The base non-sacd version is much cheaper than the SACD one. My only complaint would be is that they even released a plain cd version of this set.

The SACD versions are all Hybrid SACD's. Means you can play them on any CD player ... Read More:

Alright, so you've probably heard a lot about this album and this band but I think this album and the band deserve so much credit. If you haven't really listened to anything off this album yet, I'm going to convince you to. Read on.

This amazing album has two disks: Jupiter and Mars; both fantastic. Its sound is way different than previous RHCP albums but still keeps they're original style and flair. With crazy bass lines from bassist Flea and funky guitar rifts from guitarist John Frusciante, this album is packed with creativity and has something for everyone. Drums are always great too when you got Chad Smith on them; one of the few guys in rock music these days that keeps a smile on his face.
