Absolutely beautiful album. As a child growing up in a Missionary Baptist Church of South Texas, many childhood memories came back to mind as I listened to this recording. I chose to give it four stars instead of five for one reason: it wasn't long enough. If you buy it for nothing else, buy it for it's historical significance: because the sad truth is recordings like this won't be around forever.

The felicity with which George Frideric Handel was able to compose in practically every genre never ceases to amaze me.
