Mississippi John Hurt was rediscovered decades after his original career ended, by the folk music revival. He appeared at the Newport Folk Festival, toured the folk circuit, and was finally given the credit he deserved. This is a quiet album, just vocals and guitar (I'm puzzled by the other reviewers, as all I hear is great guitar picking, no harmonica), recorded at a college campus concert in the early 1960's.
