Thank YouSearch: Trippin On A Hole In A Paper Heart by: Stone Temple Pilots Release Date November 11, 2003 This CD is absolutely fantastic. The Stone Temple Pilots have been churning out tons of hits since their first CD in the early '90s, and even though their sound has changed they are still an awesome band. I guarantee everybody's heard most of the songs on this album, seeing as they were all major radio hits. From "Sex Type Thing" to "Vasoline" to "Big Bang Baby" to "Days of the Week", every song on here is a rock classic, and any fan of STP or '90s rock in general should own this. The bonus DVD was equally awesome, with all the band's music videos and a ton of live videos as well. (As a side note, the CD case unfolds to reveal a topless woman holding a sunflower, which is also cool.) |

For one the title is by far the best album title from the 1990's, at least for an alternative rock band. Also Scott Weiland is at his lyrical peak as far as STP is concerned. DeLeo also plays the best guitar of his career. The tone is actually good here, Brendon O' Brien didn't screw up the production for once. Also his all around soloing and riffing is much better than any other STP album. This is also the groups most diverse selection of music in one place. Thank YouSearch: Trippin On A Hole In A Paper Heart by: Stone Temple Pilots Release Date December 01, 2003 The most memorable songs done by one of the most underrated rock bands of the '90's features all of my personal favorites such as Plush, Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart and Days Of The Week as well as a few songs such as Big Bang Baby and Lady Picture Show that I didn't know. Notable is the latter, which I found suprisingly good, being unique in style especially for a grunge band. Every song here is great, and as a whole Thank You does an excellent job of chronicalling the bands career from 1992 through 2001 with the addition of the 2003 single All In The Suit That You Wear, not found on any of their albums. The play order I found a little funny, as Pearl Jam's Rearviewmirror and Nirvana's With The Lights Out were both presented chronologically. Nevertheless ... Read More: |
