Joshua Tree (Remastered / Expanded) (Super Deluxe Edition) (2CD/DVD)Search: Trip Through Your Wires by: U2 Release Date November 20, 2007 While I've enjoyed every U2 album (there's even redemption in at least half of their "Pop" album from the 1990s), The Joshua Tree is what got me into the band originally and is what I consider their first masterpiece. Achtung, Baby and then How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb eventually followed as triumphs, but this box set was a delightful gift to have received. Sure, I owned the Joshua Tree already, but after 20 years it's a bit worn out and the remastered versions are crisp and clear. The packaging is nice, although I don't need such a thick box just to hold a booklet and a couple of CDs/DVDs. The book that is included makes for a great companion to the CD and the DVD of the Joshua Tree Tour show from Paris is actually very high ... Read More: |

The Joshua TreeSearch: Trip Through Your Wires by: U2 Release Date December 11, 2007 The sound of the original cd is good,but the remastered of disc one and disc two of U2:The Joshua Tree cd's is better.I've listened to the joshua tree analog cd alot. Disc two's track list,i havent listened to before except "Silver And Gold","Sweetest Thing" and "Where The Streets Have No Name".If there were more unused tracks COOL!.I hope there will be a remastered of U2:The Unforgettable Fire cd. |

The Joshua TreeSearch: Trip Through Your Wires by: U2 Release Date March 30, 1993 I would definitely pick this up the day it is released if in fact this listing is accurate. If it is a mistake, amazon needs to pay closer attention to what they are doing. Currently, the only way to hear this digitally is either the CD that came out in '87 or the long out of print and now expensive MFSL gold disc. I don't know what the band or Island records are up to by not remastering this in one way or another, other than using the original as a cash cow after 18 years, but this is a recording that would benefit greatly if released on SACD or DVD-Audio. |
