More than half of this chronological Greatest Hits collection is devoted to Hardy's hits of the early-mid 60s. It then shifts abruptly to the 80s, ignoring Hardy's enormous output from the late 60s to mid-70s; naturally, the change in style is also abrupt. Although there can't be much argument with the chosen tracks, the cd running time could easily have incorporated several more songs more fairly representative of a career overview. In short, an unsatisfactory compilation that also neglects to include any liner notes.

Due to countless unpleasant experiences with CD's released by Sony Music and their affiliate labels, it was a nice surprise to find out that they at last did a good work on the CD's included in this box set. The selection of tracks is great and the audio is carefully mastered, thankfully escaping the usual "loudness war" releases by Sony Music.
