I bought my copy of Duets in London, pressed by Eagle Records/EDGDC122. Duets is nicely remastered and packaged, has a glossy booklet full of comments and pics of the TV performances that help them come to live -not that they need much help! Has become one of my fav Garland CDs. I would fully recommend it -I don't know if the other pressings have glossy enclosures

I wanted to learn more about how George Martin helped to create the music of the Beatles, and get a more complete view of how the Beatles created their music. I bought "Produced by George Martin" after he answered my question on his world-wide-web chat introducing the album from England. He told listeners that when he started didn't expect to be good at it, and he told me that digital computer technology has helped make creating sounds easier, but being original is still very difficult.

I feel rewarded listining to the start of the musical skill, humor, creativity, and intelligence that helped to make the Beatles music. I think I remember George Martin once saying the he belonged in the background--but this collection commemorating ... Read More:

Editorial disclosure: Pippilina is a dear and near friend of mine!

This album is great for many reasons:

1) It is truly unique -- I challenge anyone to try and pigeonhole this music or find anything remotely like it. How would I classify it? How about "Happy techno music with commodore 64 flavored synthesizers"?
2) It is very upbeat
3) It is very cleverly constructed
4) It is not repetative

If you like quirky, different music then this one is must-have CD.

There is only one track on it I don't like (6) -- everything else is great!

Highly recommended

To be fair, Brazilectro is a franchise that has expanded in it's 5+ years of existence. This box set has the Brazilectro side ONLY; sessions 1 through 6 off the Audiopharm label. But this is in all honesty, STILL one heck of a package. That's 12 discs of tunes that more than showcases an evolution of a genre of music. The only parts missing to this is the break-away sister series titled "Brazilution", which is on the Ministry of Sound label, the Brazilectro DVD which came out last summer, and Brazilectro vol 7, which came out earlier this summer. Oh... and what I came to find out upon far closer examination... a few songs.

what a deal, you get great songs by great bands like lagwagon, the hippos, new found glory, and the get up kids, plus awesome songs by bands you've never even heard of like sarge, the masked anamals, and the adventures of jet. I swear that i was listing to green day when i heard the gamats and the impossables do sound a lot like weezer like the review below said. Your missing out if you pass this up, and really, for [price], how can you go wrong?
