Search: Too Much Of Nothing
by: John Wesley Harding

Release Date August 29, 2000
I was so impressed with "I'm Wrong About Everything" (and still am) as used in the movie "High Fidelity" that I couldn't even imagine that the rest of the album would actually be bad. Maybe the title of the only likeable song was an omen. I was wrong, and it's bad. The lyrics for every other song are corny. The music is mediocre and his drony voice begins to grate after a few songs. As for the cover and the St. Ace story on the inner sleeve... Ah, yeah... Best left filed under "John Wesley Who?"

Search: Too Much Of Nothing
by: Haley Bonar

Release Date October 31, 2006
I love this album. I just discovered Haley on Facebook (sorry, embarrassing I know). Is it the recording or the MP3 transfer that accounts for distortion? I'd be interested to know if CD owners also hear fuzzy edges on the bass and keyboard sounds. Her voice is clear, so maybe it was just a cheap recording. This is my first experience downloading an MP3, and maybe my last. Anyway, I LOVE HALEY!

Search: Too Much Of Nothing
by: Mushroomhead

Release Date December 04, 2001
With this album being thier first major label release it didnt sell all that great. It has very catchy lyrics, hard hitting bass, and riffs that will get stuck in your head. Once you play the disc you want to hear it again just to be able to catch everything that you missed the first time. There is much that can be said about this album besides buy it and you will not be disappointed in what you hear.

Search: Too Much Of Nothing
by: Mushroomhead

Release Date April 15, 2002
THIS BAND STANDS OUT!! No Doubt about it, they're progressive, they have some elements of everything from pummeling death metal (Xeroxed), to beautiful piano-laden metal ballads (These Filthy Hands). The combination of J. Mann's unique growl/scream/yell, and Jeffrey Nothing's haunting-but-beautiful singing makes for a band like no other. Anyone who thinks that they ripped off Mudvaye or Slipknot is crazy, they sound nothing like them. I give this album and band overall a 5 out of 5.

Search: Too Much Of Nothing
by: UFO

Release Date February 12, 2008
I was a UFO fan when they were a current band. Like so many others from that era who didn't make it to CD right off I had forgotten just how good they were. This CD also has the uncensored cover which originally was recalled in the US and re-released with the image of the people on the cover changed to a near complete transparency. That aside, this like all the early UFO releases is solid, timeless rock and roll.

So, you bought the 2000 EMI remaster & now you think you have to do it all over again?

Relax.

This is the same master used for the 2000 version. So, unless you're just dying to have the LP mini-sleeve for five times the price, don't knock yourself out.

Search: Too Much Of Nothing
by: Spooky Tooth

Release Date July 04, 2005
It may be sacrilege to say it, but I think I like this album almost as much as I like Spooky Two, this band's now legendary masterpiece. Although Spooky Two is probably more focused in style and vibe (this one's more of a fusion of 60's psychedelic and the heavier, trippy hard rock that would make them more famous), the band's debut is just as energetic, and it rocks just as hard. Not only that, it contains some of the dual lead singers' (Mike Harrison and the band's primary songwriter, American Gary Wright) most gnarly and over-the-top contributions. For me, it's really the combination between the filthy guitar, bass and keyboards and the ridiculous vocals of the two singers that makes Spooky Tooth such a great band, and it all starts here.
