This box set of four CD's is a complete compliment to Marvin Gaye.
The first 2cd's are of his earlier works and his duets which include Ain't no mountain high enough etc.
His earlier works are quite easy to listen to and I fell that they are really enjoyable.
The next two cd's are from the middle and later stages of his life.
They include songs from What's going on and Let's get it on which are some of his best work.
The booklet included in the package is quite brilliant with all his hits listed in it, his albums and a review from David Ritz.
This box set is a must have for fans.

This is an excellent purchase if your looking for Marvin Gaye's legendary 1960s catalog. Well worth the money. ENJOY!!!

Any lover of Motown, Marvin Gaye, or soulful music has to have this CD compilation. The recording and sound transfer does justice to Gaye's clear vocals. Besides having all the essential hits "What's Going on?", "I Heard it Through the Grapevines", etc. it has two additional gems that you won't find anywhere else. There is a beautiful rendition of "You Are Everything" that Marvin did with Diana Ross and a very rare Marvin Gaye cover of "Abraham & Martin & John" which is the best version of the song I have ever heard. Even if you have all of Marvin Gaye's hits on other collections, buy this disc if only for those two inclusions. Just wonderful!
