When I first heard about this musical, I had absolutely no desire to go see it. How can you possibly turn such a gut-wrenching film into a musical? Well, you can. This album will bring you to Sunday Church and back from the first song to the last. It is a wonderful mix of sad, happy, self-realization, and love songs incorporating hopes, desires and memoirs of most characters.

Even if you have not seen the musical I recomend it. The inside notes give you just enough information to follow the story from song to song and even if you see the musical later, you will be able to focus on the staging and costuming (which are also fabulous) and maybe even sing along (just not too loud).

...that's the name of the bonustrack and that applies
(the right word?) for the whole single. "What a girl wants is a lot more pop then her previous hit "Genie in a bottle" It's not exactly the same version which is on her self-titled album.
The remix is also good and the Bonustrack is wonderful. It sounds like a cross between "I turn to you" and "Blessed". A real nice ballad. Where did Christina get this amazing voice from?????? She's going to sound like Whitney Houston.

Take Two is one of the finest labels out there, they re-issue rare recordings by The Boswell Sisters, and amny other great artists. Take Two puts the spotlight on Russ Columbo, who was a rival crooner of Bing Crosby. Columbo had a warm baritone, and would go on to influence countless other jazz artists in the vein of Billie Holiday... as well as middle of the road pop singers like Perry Como. This is a great collection of his trademark songs and though one wishes it were a more complete set since he only recordrd 32 songs in his short lifetime, it is still one of the best Columbo CD's out there. This complete collection is a masterpiece! It's a shame that it is no longer in production, so if you can secure a copy for yourself, bravo! Columbo's voice is wonderfully clear and strong, and his talent as a songwriter is among the top ten American composers. Columbo far exceeds Bing Crosby's talents.

The year - 1999. The album - a collection of the teen pop acts rising and falling on the charts in the past few years or so. The assortment of artists and songs isn't diverse exactly, it's 16 tracks of pop stuff. The assortment of artists includes mega-stars (Backstreet Boys, Christina Aguilera, *NSYNC, Britney, Spice Girls, Monica, Hanson), chart upstarts (Five, Divine), British imports (Steps, Billie), and total wannabes (everyone else). Some of the songs are familiar, smash songs like "Quit Playing Games", "When The Lights Go Out", "Wannabe", "Don't Take It Personal", and "Lately" are definite highlights.
