As other reviewers have noted, it might not be the best *total* performance of Elijah (although it's still VERY good)....but Terfel gives the best Elijah performance that I've ever heard. If you haven't heard this recording, you are definitely missing out.

Just the same beat with minor changes on each song. That's not House. Don't waste your time with this garbage. If you want some excellent House music get: Sun Dance by Nicolas Matar - THAT is house music.

You are going to love this cd! Sample the cut titled "1968". Every song on this cd is fantastic. I had only ever heard of Pete Elman and his work on Acorn Records, this was a real eye opener. Trust me, you will enjoy this cd!! It is a great driving cd!

The Blood Brothers will tease you with a bouncing bass line, and then break into a throat wrenching scream. Their unpredictability is evidenced in the catchiest song off the album, the five and a half minute closer "The Shame," builds and builds until it is abruptly cut, at first causing me to inspect my CD player. This is a band that plays with its listener, and you can be certain that Burn, Piano Island, Burn assures a truly involved experience; there is no way you can just put this album in and forget about it.

This album is quite possibly one of the greatest albums of this decade. Never has such aggression and chaos been associated with such intracate songwriting and beauty. This is pop music on PCP, it is some Hulk of a pop album. The Blood Brothers stay true to their No-Wave and Hardcore roots on "...Burn, Piano Island, Burn" however on this album pop hooks and swining rythyms are littered from "Guitarmy" to "The Shame". Every song is as violently sexy as possible. From deep tortured lyrics coming from the screaming/swooning onslaught of the two frontmen Johnny and Jordan, to the dischordant yet melodic guitarwork, to the bassline which serve as more of a rythym section than the often sporatic and chaotic drum bursts.
