I'm a bit slow at discovering the Black Keys but I LOVE THEM since I did discover them! This is the best band to come along since Nirvana. Magic Potion was my first Keys purchase and I didn't think I could possibly love anything better by this band but man, I WAS WRONG! This CD ROCKS! Not a bad song on here!

This album is the bee's knees. If you work all day at a place with no job security, no heath coverage, make you use your own car to drive to work sites, no compensation for driving, expected to by the CEO a present at that holiday party. You shouldn't buy him this album, it is to good for him. You should buy for yourself, quite your job, show up at the holiday party, bribe the DJ and blast this album and dumb on the CEO's pile of presents.

It's good music to poop to as well.

The Six Parts Seven/ The Black Keys - Split

Despite being an EP, this is something that any Black Keys fan should own. It gives a different perspective to the Keys as the sounds are live and the vocals are fresh, not distorted. I also like the Six Parts Seven song, even though it definitely doesn't fit with the Keys' style. A wierd EP, but definitely worth the money. If this was a tad bit longer, 5 stars would definitely exist.

"Decent-songs-that-you-should-hear-O-RAMA" is an awkward title & these discs have some punk. The songs that do not fit into the genre in no way affect the flow of the music and are strong musically. I am always looking for music outside of my typical spectrum & I'm glad this damn good compilation widened my view. Most of my music is hardcore & I never touch the radio so... I have 4 new & fun CDs from artists unknown to me prior to P-O-R 8.
