This album contains one of the most complete selections of "dancable music" I've ever run across. Being that I do a great deal of traveling to play at and for various dance events/groups I have found that the overall reception of this music has been outstanding. Dorothy Dandridge could take a song and make it into a beautiful symphony by using her singularly fine talent as a vocalist. Her diction bolsters her singing and her voice on this album is lush, warm and vibrant.

Dandridge does well on all the tracks on this album; but several numbers stand out as highlights of this CD. I enjoy "It's Easy To Remember" which features Dorothy switching back and forth between major and minor keys very quickly. I was impressed; and the musicians play well to enhance the number. Dorothy also does a flawless job performing "That Old Feeling;" this nostalgia, bittersweet number pulls at my heartstrings because it's one of the most beautiful torch songs I've heard--ever. It's an eccentric mix of tracks, but it's certainly not a random one. With some pop artists, the listener can tell that the songs have little to no relationship to each other, and they're assembled in some marketable order. Not so with this album, or any of David Crowder's work. The album is a flowing whole, and is probably meant to be taken in as such. As is characteristic of some of the band's other albums, there are short tracks in between some of the featured songs; these shorts I think the band hopes will be taken as seriously as some of the larger songs, because they help the piece flow (the shorter tracks are actually addressed in 20 "A Conversation").

If you are like me and wanted this alumb on cd but was affarid to try and record it on your own because you might messed it up well don't worry cause it's out on cd now and it is an classic. I've always loved this alumb and now i'm going to enjoy it so much more.
