Actually it's not that good. The Bare Faced Cheeck album had a few good songs on it, so I thought that a best of must have too. Not so true after all.

This album amazes me. Disc 1 is stacked with my favorites, 'The Lambrusco Kid', 'Dig That Groove Baby', 'Fiery Jack', and 'Fisticuffs In Frederick Street'. Disc 2 has the original Toy Dolls single, 'Tommy Kowey's Car', and some of their more recent tracks, which are good as well. Most of this album features tracks from the Olga-McKee-and the drummer I forget's name era. Great stuff. Olga is by far the most skilled and consistent musician of the genere. He's so well rounded, and it blows my mind time and time again

The Toy Dolls are a great punk band. I admit if you havent ever heard them listen before you buy cuz you might be surprised. Their lyrics are silly similar to a NoFx song, This is a great cd. Also awesome guitar.

When I first heard of the Toy Dolls back in the mid-80's, this stuff was IMPOSSIBLE to find. I'm happy to have this box set, which contains their singles collection, the first ("Dig That Groove, Baby") second ("A Far Out Disc") and third ("Idle Gossip") lp releases, which replace the old cassettes I taped from friends over 15 years ago. Olga Toy Doll writes almost all the songs (except when they're doing a zany send-up of 'Wipe-out" or their hilarious version of "Blue Suede Shoes") and pens many themes about characters or places with very clever titles such as "If You're In A Pop Group You'll End ...
