Essential for Abba fans, this is Anni-Frid's pre-Abba greatest hits collection, circa 1967-1972. many of these tracks are Swedish versions of well-known US/UK pop hits while others are Swedish originals. Nice arrangements, fine performances, and an interesting historical document as well. Recommended.

After hearing this compilation of Frida's early work (prior to ABBA), I have a much greater appreciation for this woman's vocal talent. The style here is much different than her work with ABBA or her two 80s solo pop albums. It largely features a combination of jazz and schlager music, which were very popular at the time. As others have said, don't be discouraged from purchasing this collection if you can't speak Swedish. It is quite easy to appreciate this music without understanding the lyrics. The songs are fun, dreamy, and backed by an excellent group of musicians. This album should be a part of any ABBA or Frida music collection, or for anyone who appreciates great female vocals.

Despite the rather shallow and tinny audio quality, Engelbert still sounds wonderful, and what is startling is his speaking voice; though I have all his currently available concert DVDs, hearing the spoken word without the visuals makes one aware of what a spectacular voice it is, speaking as well as singing.

This outstanding collection was released in the UK on the 30th aniversary of Elvis' passing and entered the UK album charts at number 1! In conjunction with this release, the Suspicious Minds single was re-released in the UK and debuted at number 11 on the UK singles chart! Talk about staying power!

While there are numerous Elvis collections available, this is certainly one of the better ones. It includes all his standards, plus several songs that may not have been hits in the US, but were hits in the UK, including: Party, Wooden Heart, Always on My Mind, and I Just Can't Help Believin'. A very strong collection!
