Some of the themes are originally from the TV shows but I specifically bought this CD because other reviewers claimed that it had the original theme from The Love Boat. If that is the theme you're looking for, don't bother getting this CD.

Three cheers for Time-Life Records for putting out a multi-label collection of rowdy country novelty tunes that includes gems like Vernon Oxford's "Redneck National Anthem," Johnny Russell's "Rednecks, White Socks And Blue Ribbon Beer," "Up Against The Wall Redneck Mother" by Jerry Jeff Walker, and "Longhaired Redneck" by David Allan Coe, as well as Hank, Jr.'s "Rowdy Friends," Travis Tritt's "Country Club" all that old Moe & Joe stuff and the "Dukes Of Hazzard" theme. Pop a top, buddy -- this disc deserves your full, inebriated attention.

The third volume in the Tube Tunes series is easily the weakest of the bunch. Don't get me wrong, it does have it's moments. "WKRP in Cincinnati", "Dukes of Hazzard", "Greatest American Hero", "Cheers" and some others are a lot of fun. But then there is junk like the theme from "Growing Pains" (what is Dusty Springfield "The White Dionne Warwick" doing here?) and the theme from the last season (ugh) of The Love Boat (what is Dionne Warwick "The Black Dusty Springfield" doing here?). So, it's pretty much a mixed bag. How much you like it will depend on how much nostalgia you have for '80s TV shows.
