All went well with the sale but I was dissapointed that the CD has a scratch on it and garggels and skips through my favorite song. I actually bought the CD for this one song. But I bought it ead cheap and used so I understand you get what you get.The content is wonderful. I love Weber and the song choices are great. Happy humming/whistling music for Bway fans, that's for sure.

This cd combines some of the prettiest songs on Broadway (Don't Cry for Me Argentina; Music of the Night) with some of the best chorus songs on Broadway (Big Spender, Mame) with some of the funniest songs on Broadway (Sue Me). With additional songs like the Impossible Dream and the one and only Broadway anthem (There's no business like show business), whats not to love about this cd. I highly recommend it.

"My Favorite Broadway: The Love Songs" is a major disappointment, mainly because the title would leave you to expect some of the classic love songs from Broadway musicals. But whatever songs immediately pop into your mind, they are probably not in this collection. For that matter you not recognize most of the performers, but it is not recognizing some of these songs that will bother you more. For those who were charmed by "My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies," this follow-up effort pales in comparison and when Tom Wopat starts the evening off singing "Lullaby Of Broadway" from "42nd Street" I was not wondering what the former "Dukes of Hazard" star was doing singing but how this song qualified as a "love song." It's a beautiful thing when someone has a skill or a talent which is readily accessible. Such is the case with Barbra Streisand. Until hearing this CD I had never really appreciated the skill and talent of Barbra. Inadvertently this CD compares Barbra with many of the top voices of today and yesterday, and it became apparent to me that Barbra has a very powerful and very beautiful voice.

Historically I have listened to very little of Barbra's music; my mistake. Barbra has an exceptionally powerful and melodic voice. After the huge success of The Broadway Album, no one could blame Barbra for wanting to release a sequel, and due to its debut at #1, the public was more than willing to go along for the ride. In its own right, this is a good album. But as a sequel to a blockbuster, as expected, it was not as successful nor as good.

While the material on The Broadway Album was full of inspired singing, some of the singing this time around just comes across as blah (though she sounded as good as ever). But even if she was very enthusiastic, it wouldn't hide the fact that a lot of these songs are just not all that impressive or catchy.
