Excel Saga: Great Soundtrack Experiment 2Search: The Clock by: Original Soundtrack Release Date November 01, 2005 The second Excel Saga soundtrack is not as much fun as the first. Predictably, of course, it contains many themes that were not quite exciting enough to be included to the original soundtrack. One disappointment for me is that the wild rock guitar bits from the 'Key' episode weren't on this one, either--let alone the actual songs. The only vocal selection on the CD is the extended version of Menchi's Bolero of Regret. But if you're a fan of the series, this should neatly round out your soundtrack collection. It contains the Ropponmatsu themes, the dating game soundtrack, the themes from Menchi's Great Adventures and a few other nice tracks among the leftovers. |

The NotebookSearch: The Clock by: Various Artists Release Date June 08, 2004 There isn't much I can say about this beautiful movie, except that it was so touching! It say's go for the "true love", settle for nothing else no matter what may be in store, because love that is "true" and as beautiful as their's was, is a rare thing! I absolutely loved the ending. I also loved that a movie CAN be truly wonderful, beautiful and touching WITHOUT grafic "sex scenes!" Also sadly a rare thing in movies today. Ever seen "Hanover Street?" Equally beautiful. Antal Dorati Conducts Kodály & BartókSearch: The Clock from: Philips Release Date September 12, 1990 I agree with the previous, but I'll say a little more about it. You'd not know that these recordings are from the '50s from merely listening. And, holy smokes, what performances! The Minneapolis Symphony was a crack outfit (as it is today as the Minnesota Orchestra) with plenty of verve and unique sound in every section. There is no need to look at a CD to determine conductor and orchestra...and all this personality is fully in service of the music! The Philharmonia Hungarica of Vienna that Dorati used to such good effect in his later complete Kodaly set for London (not to mention all that HAYDN) gives a good account in fine sound, but I kind of lean toward the later presentations (which you'll want to find and have, of ... Instead, it has less-famous but still popular works such as pieces of Mozart's symphonies, Pictures at an Exhibition, and Dvorak's Slavonic Dances.
