Cantor Meets JolsonSearch: Swanee- Al Jolson by: Eddie Cantor Release Date October 15, 1997 If you are a fan of Eddie Cantor, Al Jolson (my favorite), or Old Time Radio, you will more than likely enjoy this CD. It is plenty long---3CD's for 3 hours worth of programming (6 shows). These are Eddie Cantor's shows with Jolson as a guest. The first CD was done in the later 30's with Jolson a guest on Cantor's "Texaco Time" comedy show. These shows (the first two) are sub-standard comedy (more silly than funny), and though they have been restored as well as possible, the sound quality is fair only. Here's the real treat: the last two hours (4 shows), which include Harry VonZell as announcer, and some of them feature Dinah Shore as well.
