Only Rock'N Roll: 1975-1979 (Series)Search: Starlight by: Various Artists Release Date January 17, 1995 I felt that they should leave out some of the disco and the soul songs and put more rock songs like Boston's More Than a Feeling, Climax Blues Band's Couldn't Get it Right, Journey's Lovin Touchin Squeezin or Rickie Lee Jones's Chuck E's in Love but they have some good songs like Foreigner's Double Vision (my favorite Foreigner song), The Knack's My Sharona, Hall 'n' Oates's Rich Girl, just to name a few, if you like a wide variety of songs from the 70's, then you'll like this CD but for those who are more into classic rock should go find another CD, I also bought this CD for Bay City Roller's Saturday Night which is a classic song and it became a #1 hit in late 1975. |

I particularly love the take-off with true headphones on (the kind that shut out all the other sounds around you) because it makes you feel like gripping the recliner arms to hang on as the force blows you backward. Yeah...it's that powerful. |

Any Starlight NightSearch: Starlight Release Date January 15, 1991 This is likely my favorite album of all time (I'm 47). I have listened to it hundreds of times, and still keep going back for more. As others have mentioned, the album is moody, evocative, humorous, original, and seems to transcend era. The first "artsy" Crockett recording, it's pretty amazing considering the date (1991) and the CCM genre that Crockett circulated in at that time. I have worn out my cassette copy and am going back for a CD now. |
