Stretch led by vocalist Elmer Gantry and guitarist Kirby recorded some wonderful, blistering rhythm and blues during the mid 1970s. Arisng out of the ashes of Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera, Stretch began life as the "bogus" Fleetwood Mac in 1973 and were tainted by the resulting scandal. Kirby supplied the fuel for such blazing recordings as "Show Biz Blues" (a Peter Green tour de force), "Living on the Highway" and "Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo." This double cd set spans the groups entire career including an album recorded after Elmer departed the band, the same unfortunate choice he had made with the Velvet Opera some years earlier.
