Looking around for bands I think I'd like but never heard of before, I came across the New Young Pony Club. Their single, "Ice Cream" is included here. It, as well as so many other songs here, are eclectic bunch of funky post New Wave songs, in the vein of Franz Ferdinand. Very fun, dancy music, extremely electronic. Similar to Blondie, funkier than Berlin.
I like this album collection a lot because it has such great music from bands I've never heard of before.
For the record, my favorite "popular" music bands being Depeche Mode, Erasure, INXS, Soft Cell, Flock of Seagulls, OMD, Yaz, Sparks, Scritti Pollitti, Squeeze, Thompson Twins, Wham!, Nitzer Ebb, The Killers, and I've just recently discovered Beborn Beton and ... Read More:

I bought this set (2 cds). kind of odd being that the band is based in Scotland, and plays some good blues, with a vocalist that sounds like an old black folk singer from the South. Actually a white guy that does really well. This is one of those gems of the folk blues that grows on you, the more you listen, and most every song is a good and likeable rendition, compilation, or original.
Apparently, they had a previous work that is tough to find. After listening to this one, several times over the past few months, I'd buy the other one, provided I could get a copy.
While the band is based elsewhere in the world (or perhaps, just recorded there), many really good blues players live and work in Europe and Britain ... Read More:

To be honest, this is one of the best album I found during the last year buying at least one album a week. Being a new wave and electro freak, I couldn't ask for any better on the same record.
I gave 5 stars even if I don't like every track on disc 1 because it still deserve it by far. Tracks like "Do I Look Like A Slut?" falls in the electrocrap category in my opinion. I don't understand why these retarded don't go play hip hop instead. There's also a few other ones I can appreciate without falling in love as I'm really not into house music.
To name my favorites on disc 1 I'd go with "Electromode", "Frisco Bay", "The game is not over" and "Electrofied". These tracks got me blasting my car stereo and almost made me kill ... Read More:
