As a rule, I don't typically go for mix albums, but I'm glad I made an exception and picked up Tommie Sunshine's entry in the Ultra series. While I'm usually skeptical of anything coming out of a massive series like Ultra, I'm glad that the quality is fairly high throughout, for this volume anyway. Oftentimes, compilations feature generic tunes mixed with no flair or creativity, often functioning more like background music for someone who doesn't want to put his or her own mix together. That's not the case here.

The biggest things that stands out, for me anyway, are the melodic elements. I was expecting an electro/rocktronica mix, which is usually a mix of electro drums and rock guitars with the occasional Miss Kittin-esque vocals. ... Read More:

I love this CD a whole lot. ann doyle is my guitar teacher, and a very good friend of the familys. I'm very blessed to be learnign from ehr. she is a wonderful teacher songwriter and friend. Her music it heartfelt. I reeccomnend Lucky one. great song.
