Although Wetton suggests that this is the third of a musical trilogy that began with BATTLE LINES and continued with ARkANGEL, I think it is better to view SINISTER as the first part of Wetton's "rebuilding" phase. The production on this album is generally weak, and many of the songs sound like glorified demo recordings, albeit cleaned up nicely. The songwriting, however, is top notch, and this album features some of Wetton's most rousing solo material to date. (I still feel that the Japanese bonus track, "Love Is," was indispensable, but Wetton must have felt otherwise.) Many longtime Wetton collaborators are featured on the album, which is also the first to include John Mitchell and Steve Christie in supporting positions. They returned on ... Read More:

This is a great album! After listening to it on Dave's website, I could not wait to get it!
I was apprehensive about another singer singing Eurythmic's songs, as no one does them better than Annie, but Dave was very smart, he did not choose singers that sound like Annie or tried to sound like Annie. They put their own spin on the song.
There were quite a few songs I had not heard before and was not aware that Dave had written them.
I especially like This is the world calling and Jealosy.

This album by Ken Keating is exceptional in many, many ways. First of all, his glorious voice, which goes from a masculine baritone to that of an Irish tenor, without effort, or ever changing his vibrato or tone. Some will like comparisons, but I feel that is unfair to Mr. Keating. Just click on any track and listen. You can draw your own conclusions.
"I Believe in You and Me" seems to be the focus track of this CD. It's delivery, words and music are flawless and will draw you back for many listenings. It should really be placed in a current film, as the "love theme", as it would make any film better by its presence.
"For You" is a song that any man or woman should learn, and sing to the one that they love. You will be guaranteed ... Read More:

The move across the country from New York to Palm Springs seems to agree with Norman Lassiter because he has finally fulfilled his dream of becoming a recording artist. His first disc, The Gift of Love, is a lovely collection of show tunes and pop songs that are all well-sung. But it's his second recording, Trust the Wind, which finds Lasiter coming into his own as, not only a singer, but an artist as well. Lasiter's passion for his material, ranging from David Friedman and John Bucchino to Stephen Sondheim and Stephen Schwartz, is even more arresting because of his warm, lyric tone. His radiantly confident singing only enhances the inspirational message of songs like "Grateful" and "Love Don't Need a Reason," and his light touch on Friedman's "I'll Be Here ... Read More:
