People seem to look past Beenie Man's extremely homophobic lyrics. In the song "Damn", Beenie Man states "Well I'm think of a new Jamaica, me come to executve all of the gays". How can he get away with saying something like this. Eminem got so much attention for his homophobic lyrics on his sophomore album, but at least his lyrics weren't as serious and homocidal as this. Eminem just made jokes. Eminem kind of got the reputation of saying crazy things. Threatening to murder his wife, talking about raping his mother, people learned that Eminem was known for saying outrageous things that obviously shouldn't be taken seriously. Okay... first and foremost, anyone that likes Battle Without Honor or Humanity (from Kill Bill) should listen to some tracks from this before just whipping out and buying it.

About the actual album: This album from start to finish is absolutely great Japanese Pop/Rock. Hotei has been a HUGE success in Japan for years, and he just continues to make brilliant music. This is one of those albums that you can take with you on a road trip, and it will keep your heading bobbing the whole time (Hotei has a way of doing that).

I hadn't heard of Marco V until recently when I visited Amsterdam. I was hanging out at this place called "36" and they were playing this fantastic trance there. After 5 or 6 tracks, I had to know what the album was, so I asked a bar tender. He informed me that I was hearing Marco V's newest journey into trance called "Combi:Nations 2." I had never heard of Marco V, but I immediately knew I liked his style. I enjoyed the album so much that I wrote down its name and found it immediately when I returned to the States. This album is crazy-good and anyone who likes trance will appreciate Marco V's smooth transitions and funky change-ups. I highly recommend this album, as well as anything else by Marco V. Enjoy!
