Perhaps you, like myself, got interested in their music after Natalie's comment about George W. Bush. Or perhaps you made the mistake of throwing their CD's out to be crushed, only to realize three years later that they were right all along, and now wish you can be forgiven. It does not matter. Songs like Cowboy Take Me Away, Wide Open Spaces and Goodbye Earl are all time classics. If you paid no attention to these songs before, you have no idea what you are missing. Even if you don't like country I think you can find something to enjoy on this album. The songs are full of hope about love and happiness and they make me happy when I listen to them. I often have to stop what I'm doing just to listen to a song. Despite what their political history is...they are amazing and incredible artists that can't be denied - give this album a chance if you want to hear some lovely tunes. |

A Tribute to Dixie ChicksSearch: Let Er Rip by: Various Artists Release Date January 15, 2002 I love the Chicks ... if you love them, buy this CD and burn it, take the ashes and microwave them, take the goo that is left over and flush it ... and pray that an alligator swallows it and then chokes to death on it! This is the worst CD that was ever produced, short of anything that William Shatner ever sang ... (my apologies to my fellow Canadian for saying that, too!) This is an insult to any ear drums that are on the planet ... if there was a minus 5000 stars, I would give it ... it is an insult to the Chicks ... lord have mercy! |
