"Stations"Search: Invincible Release Date April 17, 2001 I had the pleasure of catching The Cinematics in concert in Seattle, and this disc definitely does them justice! The lead vocalist has an incredible voice and an amazing range . "Speeding Hearts" is fast paced and catchy with a hook driven chorus and in the song "Citizen", you can definitely hear the influence that the music of the 80's had on this band. I highly recommend this disc to anyone who enjoys pure, undiluted pop music! |

Triple PSearch: Invincible by: Platinum Pied Pipers Release Date May 10, 2005 I've been hearing PPP and Waajeed-related tracks for the last couple years, and I finally remembered to order this disc. It's a solid album end-to-end, and refreshing to hear a variety of vocalists. Invincible is great on "Detroit Winter" and so is Tiombe Lockhart on her tracks. This is a great bridge between the hip-hop sounds of Jaydee, Slum Village etc. and the more out-there electronic soul compositions of Moodymann (Kenny Dixon Jr.), Theo Parrish, and the Mahogani Music label. This will be in my car for a long time. Would love to catch these guys live if they ever make it to Miami. I give it 4/5 only because I'm not a fan of Jaydee on the microphone. Otherwise it's a masterpiece. |

Lost SessionsSearch: Invincible by: Molemen Release Date July 12, 2005 I just bought this CD the other day because I am going to Chicago for a concert in late Aug. This CD has a real underground feeling to it, the beats are all well produced and the guest list rips it up. I am giving this CD 5 stars to give it a better average. The Song with Cage and Copywrite is dissapointing. Not the fact that it is not a good song, but the fact that Cage and Copywrite don't even show up for the song. And for that I should really give this CD 4 stars. That track is just a teaser to the Eastern Conference fans. Other then that all the other tracks have their listed artist(s) in them. I have listened to this CD just a couple times already and I can tell its a keeper. |

Favorite American MarchesSearch: Invincible from: Legacy Release Date January 06, 1994 This is a fine collection of Sousa marches very well performed. Normally I would have given it a "4". The recording quality however is so-so. The sound has a rather claustrophobic quality to it: it's flat and lacking in depth. |

Back to DonutSearch: Invincible by: Various Artists Release Date October 25, 1990 Back to Donut is not ska with the exception of the last song by the usuals. It's not alternative either. Alternative is music that MTV plays. Some of it is stupid like JudJud's Fastsong, but the rest of it is great. SOme of it is indie some of it sounds country. This shouldn't really be listed under Less than Jake. The Less than Jake song is far from the best on the disc. Overall, it's different and refreshing and worth it's price. |
