Da Undaground Sound, Vol. 2: West SideSearch: Infinity by: Various Artists Release Date July 02, 1996 back in the day when the west coast was hot and the east was just comin back strong,this compilation came out and in my opinion it was the bomb!its worth gettin just for the dre let me ride remix which is almost impossible to find anymore.five stars straight up!of course only for the veterans of this game. this cd will not disappoint...nuff said. |

Bay Area's Greatest Hits, Vol. 1Search: Infinity by: Various Artists Release Date October 20, 1998 First of all, one luv to the bay for putting down some of the best lyricists and musical talent to ever walk into the studio from Sly & The Family Stone to Peebles to Too Short to The Click. This compilation gives us a view of the bay area rap scene came through and to me a lot of information of the independent rap label came about. The compilation starts of with Numskull of The Luniz giving you a thesis of what to expect on this compilation and the CD just rolls into it with "I've Got 5 On It. The CD just flows on with interviews and some of the trunk rattling joints that put the trademark on the bay area rap scene. Merry Christmas Mr LawrenceSearch: Infinity by: Watergate Release Date February 06, 2004 Watergate's (aka DJ Quicksilver) Heart Of Asia has seen it's fair share of re-releases, but if there's one you should own, it's this one. Just about any of the new remixes will fit a person's tastes. As for me, the Astro Heavenly Remix puts a spin on a classic. In keeping with Asian tradition, Astro Heavenly creates a spiritual, meditative remix complete with ethnic Asian instruments and vocal chants. It's largely Ambient music, and very laidback. If you're in the mood for relaxation, I highly recommend it. |
