I was disappointed with the sound quality and song selections. Most of Dusty's best songs were relegated to a medley, and a sloppily-sung one at that. The disco-era tunes were probably lively ones to watch, probably with backing dancers and fun stage antics, but on the audio cd, it all comes out sounding like the tapes I made during the '70s by setting my portable cassette recorder next to the television set. Save your money.

Mr. Pearson is the best remixer/producer in the business, in this listener's opinion. Think of him as the Tom Moulton of contemporary dance music, and as one of the originators of the current (is it still going strong?) electro movement.

It's no secret that Mariah has God-given, heaven sent ,angelic talent that most of us 9 to 5'ers could only imagine having! She's a musical and lyrical genius, however on her latest effort, E=MC2, I was not as impressed as her last album, The Emancipation of Mimi. On E=MC2, most of the tracks are a testament to the Mariah Carey we all know, hip hop/reggae sounding joints with Damian Marley, Young Jeezy and the overused, yet underrated hip hop/rap mega collaborator, T-Pain. However, it's very rare that when Mariah drops a CD I only like 2 songs on the whole entire album. For those of us who have enjoyed the irrepressible Maestro Kunzel and the effevescent Cincinnati Pops Orchestra for so many years both live, on Cd and on PBS, this collection of Americana is as good as it gets. Sousa, long revered as America's March King, shines on these discs as the composer of delightful dance tunes and even 'The Presidential Polonaise' a worthy contender with the weighty European prcessional. Its a pity that the President doesn't trot this out for White House functions. The tunes are every bit a Fourth of July celebration. The spoken word piece, 'Casey at the Bat' couldn't have a better narrator than Johnny Bench,a man who knows the score about baseball.
