When you see the DVD that comes out in August, you'll want 3D glasses so be sure and be ready or find the ones you had...just a hint, since some panicky girls didn't have them when that show debuted on television recently.

This particular music and DVD featured on Amazon has only a short DVD. However, the girls I know didn't really care. They loved it anyway. The bottom line for this particular reviewer is that I have to keep that in mind when rating this. From a dollar value or deceptive ad viewpoint, the DVD is not a full concert performance. Consider yourself duly informed.

When I first got this C.D. when it first came out a year ago or whatever I was much more childish and liked it but now it's like what was I thinking. The music is just...I dunno too childish so for maybe ages who love Hannah Montana they'll like it but if you just sort of like her don't waste your money!

I laugh at those who praise this for being things that it is really completely devoid of. Such as; emotion, originality, and creativity. I also laugh at those praising her lyrics. Conor Oberst was around her age when he started writing (fantastic) lyrics for Commander Venus. But no one cares. Because the markets now driven by tweenage girls who are completely immune to the emotion and sincerity put into other debut albums like the already mentioned Oberst with Bright Eyes' Lifted, Or the Story is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground. Or even The Arcade Fire's Funeral.

I almost only gave this collection 4 stars, because, as is true of so many bands, the early cuts are brilliant, and the songs become more pedestrian toward the end. But I shouldn't gripe about the generous runnng time of this CD. The Left Banke's first LP, included here in its entirety, is 5 star calibre.

I don't normally review CDs that are out of print, but this collection was really special, as was this group in the short time it was firing on all cylinders. Whoever owns the rights to these songs needs to get them back on the market. It's a shame that no one can discover the timeless beauty of Desiree, Pretty Balerina and, of course Walk Away Renee.
