Water Colors

I was surprised to see only one other review of this CD. "Water Colors" is Barden's magnum opus although he has other notable works. "Journey", "Yellowstone Blue", "Shape of the Rain", "Timepiece" and "Ghostwater" are great songs. And "De Profundis" is well, profound. If you buy a new stereo that really sounds good this is a great CD to listen to on it. Pete Barden's music falls into the "New Age" classification of music, at least that's where you'll find his works. "Water Colors" also sounds great at high volume. I rate this as one of the top new age CD's anyone's ever done.

This is one of my favorites from back in high school. Phil Driscoll is not for everybody, but as a trumpet player myself, I love Phil Driscoll's trumpet playing. My old cassette wore out years ago from overuse, and I never tried to replace it until recently. Imagine my shock to see it for sale here on Amazon for $50!! What madness!! This album is not out of print, it is still available for about $16 from Phil Driscoll's Website, phildriscoll.com or mightyhorn.com. You can also listen to samples there. His CD's are also available from online Christian retailers like christianbook.com.
Bottom line - Get it, but by all means, don't get ripped off!!!

I bought this cd because I kept hearing Corinne Bailey Rae sing Free on my local jazz station and loved it! I discovered her and Marcus Miller while trying to find this song. I like them both alot, now! This cd is really great! Very upbeat and gets me going, and would be great at a party!

I bought this cd because I kept hearing Corinne Bailey Rae sing Free on my local jazz station and loved it! I discovered her and Marcus Miller while trying to find this song. I like them both alot, now! This cd is really great! Very upbeat and gets me going, and would be great at a party!

This CD is perfect for you if you are a HUGE fan of the Mamas And The Papas or just really like folk music. Some of the songs may not appeal to many people's ears but if you collect Mamas and The Papas music, this is a very good album to pick up. I have been listnening to it nonstop! The tracks from The Mugwumps are particulary valuable, because as far as I recall they do not have any albums on CD.

This CD is wonderful! All the songs brought back many memories, especially Cindy oh Cindy, since I remember that from my childhood-my name is Cindy and I thought I was so special to have a song on the radio with my name!
