The "Hullabaloo Soundtrack" is a mixed bag. Aside "Absolution," "Black Holes and Revelations" and "Origin of Symmetry," the studio Hullabaloo disc offers little comparison. This disc is what it is . . . a collection of leftovers that weren't good enough to be released on a regular LP. I suppose that we should be grateful that the material has been released since there are some highlights. The instrumentals stand out as both compelling and especially unusual in the Muse pantheon. If you're a Muse fanatic like me, you'll find these tunes interesting, but the material will never resonate like the songs on their more contemporary releases. A very so-and-so collection! Host, Forced In and Do We Need This are all great B-side tracks (Do We Need This is here featured in a rare live version), and also Filip, one of the greatest tracks off Showbiz, is included in a rare live version. That's the good stuff.

On the other hand, Pink Ego Box, Coma, Yes Please and Agitated (this is the rare studio version) are rather dull B-sides, mediocre at the best. And the remixes of Sunburn are even worse, because these with great certainty will have no appeal what-so-ever for common Muse-fans.

All in all, this is not worth the price. Collectors will wanna buy this for the rare studio version of Agitated and the live versions of Filip and Do We Need This, but others would be better off ... Read More:

Ever since the virus came onto the scene they have kicked ass and this is there best one! This album rocks from start to finish. With a mix of hardcore and street punk the virus makes on hell of an album. And Mike Virus has some of the best vocals in modern punk. They are as aggressive and ferocious as Jorge casualty, fast as Paul Unseen and powerful as Greg Graffin. Seriously this guy can sing. Another thing of note is the bass. There are some really great bass lines. the guitar work is decent, even though most songs are three chord anthems there are a couple cool parts. The virus rock. Simply rock. They're lyrics are mostly about rebellion, not punx unite. If you like this check out cheap sex, the casualties the krays, blanks 77, and any punkcore records artist.

I recently purchased this 5 cd set from amazon.com. First of all the price is incredible in stores they asked much more for the set, next it is very hard to find in stores. And finally the collection of ghazals and qawalli's are incredible. Poems by RUMI and AMIR KHUSRAU that are very hard to find and really beautiflly sung by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
