This is a great buy. You get 100 tracks of music that is VERY diverse. You get the electrical-sounding music of Joy Electric, hardcore styles of Zao and Overcome, the punk of MxPx, the weirdness of Danielson, and so much more! The songs are put in order of the years they were released, starting with the earliest, so you get to really hear how Tooth and Nail has progressed throughout the years. Brandon Ebel and Bill Power need to be congratulated on this 100th release. Only flaw is that its a little dated (made back in 1997 or 98, I think), so it won't include some of the newer bands Tooth and Nail has signed (like the great Juliana Theory). But it's a good buy for nostalgic reasons.
Also includes a neat-o booklet that tells the history ... Read More:

Charles has a winner here, one of the best mix CDs I've heard in a while. The first disc, Bumpin, starts of with some funky beats, working it up with style. The first disc ends with trumpets blaring in Charles' own 'Hasta Manana'. Disc two, Pumpin, kicks it up a notch with some excellent tracks by DJ Dan, Scott Quick and Funk Monkeys. A perfect disc for after midnight, when you want to bring down the house.

From her beginnings as a soul artist on the Invictus label, chanteuse Eloise Laws delivers an appealing set of sides produced by Eddie and Brian Holland (2/3 of the Holland-Dozier-Holland trio responsible for a multitude of Motown hits).
The music on these recording allow Ms. Laws to have a vocally different approach and register than what one may be used to hearing on her vocally laid-back and more jazz-oriented sides on Liberty and ABC. Here her voice appears much fuller and stronger. While some of the material is not always 5-star caliber, her vocals are never-the-less excellent. In fact, at times she doesn't even sound like the same person as the singer who sang songs such as "Weekend" "You're Incredible" or "Strength Of A Woman." As ... Read More:
