If I could point to one CD to define the term "JUNGLE" this would be it. The energy and innovativeness of this form of music in 1995 is especially evident in retrospect. I have to wonder, where did it all go wrong?

This 1973 album is another great recording from German jazz rock band Passport that fits nicely with the definitive albums released by from the band including Looking Thru (1974) and Cross Collateral (1975). As a fan of progressive rock and jazz rock I personally find their interpretation of the jazz rock style very enjoyable.
The lineup on Handmade includes bandleader Klaus Doldinger (tenor and soprano saxophones, mini-moog synthesizer, electric piano, and mellotron); Frank Roberts (Fender electric piano and Hammond organ); the great Curt Cress (drums); and Wolfgang Schmid (electric bass guitar and guitars). The album was produced by none other than Deiter Derks, who worked with a number of German experimental rock groups (e.g. ... Read More:

A VERY ORIGINAL SCORE FROM GOBLIN. THIS MOVIE REMINDS ME OF 50'S SCIFI WHEN THEY WERE PARANOID OF NUCLEAR WAR, GIANT MUTATED INSECTS, AND ALIENS TAKING OVER THE WORLD. IT HAS A VERY CAMPY FEELING TO IT, AND NOSTALGIA. THE BUIO OMEGA TRACK'S THAT ARE ON HERE GO WELL WITH THIS MOVIE. THEY HAVE VERY FUNKY AND TRIBAL KIND OF APPEAL THAT FITS THE MOVIE WELL. THE MOVIE ITSELF IS ALOT BETTER THEN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE, BUT EVEN IF THE MOVIE IS TERRIBLE GOBLIN ARE ALWAYS FUN TO LISTEN TO. IF YOU GET TO SEE THIS MOVIE MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE UNCUT PRINT, AND NOT THE ONE ENTITLED ALIEN CONTAMINATION. I AM VERY GLAD CINEVOX ARE ARE MAKING THESE SCORES AVAILABLE, AS THEY WERE ALWAYS SO HARD TO FIND BEFORE. THE CINEVOX CD'S HAVE GREAT SOUND AND PRODUCTION, AND THE ... Read More:

This is an absolutely wonderful collection. It is basically a GREATEST HITS of Goblin and honestly, for anyone who has no idea what to expect from Goblin, you would be best off buying this collection before anything else.
You get some of their best non-movie-soundtrack songs such as "Dr. Frankenstein" and "Snip Snap" as well as all the movie themes and songs that made them so well known, like "Profondo Rosso", "Suspiria", and "Connexion" to name a few.
I've never heard any band creating such a dark sound with prog. The chemistry between the band members must have been natural and absolutely flawless as the work together between the bass, drums, and keyboards are nothing short of mind-blowing.

While not the Classic Samael in the "Rebellion" or "Worship Him" Blackmetal type, and not the new Metal/Industrial crossover of the new "Reign of Light" or "Solar Soul". This album stands alone more as a side project. The first disc containng lyrics, being "Era One", the second one is all instrumental, being "Lesson in Magic". The music i can best describe as Progressive with a good helping of electronic mixed in. Definitely different.
If you're expecting something like "Ceremony of Opposites", you'll be dissapointed. If you are open to see the range of what Vorph and Xytras can do, then definitely check this out.
