I cannot even begin to express how much i disagree with the previous reviewers assumptions. All basically do to the fact that I have personally had dozens of people who knew nothing of the band listen to this album and they all responded in the exact same way, in absolute and utter amazement that humans actually created something like this.They were however in a state absent of internal diologue and especially not approaching it from some cheesy, analitical standpoint.Also the most obnoxious thing thats haunted me in my Olivia excersions is having to hear people constantly compare them with the Beatles,when all the two have in common is that they both have created extremeley magical and powerful mind altering music, the Olivia much more so even.Many ... I've really been enjoying this boxed set. It's a very well put togeather collection and some of the notes from Tori are very interesting. The Demo Version of "A Sorta Fairytale" is probably my favorite track from the set. It gives a really unique view into her creative process being able to hear this track from it's initial conception against the final mixed product.

I bought this for a friend whose tape of Rosemary Lane had worn out after twenty years or more. He likes it - a lot. So do I. It's solace for a soul lost in the myopic woods of contemporary schlock. Or something like that. I love the art work on the cover too (by Bert's son?).

This album is one of the best albums I've heard overall lately! When I listen to this record, I often forget its not Radiohead. When Thom Yorke says its definitely just a side project, and not a "solo" album, that's a very valid statement. It does sound more like a side project. Solo albums, at least in my experience, always seem to sound a lot different than the artist's material with the band. This album to me, seems like songs that Thom didn't want to put on a Radiohead album, so he just put them on The Eraser. Since it was technically only him, it automatically receives the label "solo album". Not that it isn't a solo album, it just sounds so much like a Radiohead record to me. I have MANY meditation CDs. In my collection, I have to say this has to be one of my very favorites.

I'm not as much a big fan of Disc 1 as 2- I bought the CD for disc 2 because I wanted her meditation music, though her voice is beautiful (I just wasn't interested in a singing CD). However, you should know this review is primarily aimed at DISC 2.

I think meditation CDs, or just relaxation music in general, is very personal. Certain tones, instruments, and melodies just resonate better with some people than with others.

For example, I HATE guitars or string instruments in music that I try to meditate, relax, and especially sleep to, because its distracting and the "panging" nature just keeps making my mind jump every time I try to slip ... Read More:
